DH's Birthday "Cake"

I made his favorite red velvet cupcakes and then made these cute little picks to spell out "Happy Birthday Justin". I used bamboo skewers cut down to about 4" and attached a red scalloped circled that I layered with a white circle and a letter and shadow cut with the Base Camp cart. He LOVED it! It was such a great way to personalize his birthday cupcakes and (with the help of my BFF) we were able to whip them up in no time!

Recipe:
  • Red Velvet cupcakes
  • bamboo skewers
  • scalloped circle punch
  • circle punch
  • Base Camp cartridge (letters w/ shadow cut @ 1 1/2")

Thank You cards

One Thank You card 6 different ways! I love how different these cards all look just by changing the colors and patterned papers!
Who doesn't need a stash of  Thank You cards and these were sooooo easy to do! I can't decide which one is my favorite.
They are a standard A2 size, and I used Opposites Attract for the words.

 Recipe:
  • Opposites Attract cartridge
  • Solid color cardstock (5 1/2 x 8 1/2)
  • Patterned paper (5 1/4 x 4)
I did alter the size of both "thanks" in DS so they would fit better on the card. If I can figure out how to post a file on here, I will post the cut file :)

French Manor Friendship Card

Here is a card I made with my French Manor cart. I just love this cut! It's so elegant! And I just happening to have the PERFECT stamp for the sentiment on the inside! I wish I knew who the stamp was made by but I bought it unmounted in a huge lot off Ebay. So if anyone recognizes it let me know. I try to give proper credit whenever possible :)

Recipe:
  • French Manor cart (dress form 4")
  • Black and tan cardstock
  • Patterned paper
  • "friendship" sentiment stamp

    Cricut Cardz Challenge # 35

Anyway, here is my entry for the Cricut Cardz Challenge. We were to make a get well card using blue, green, black and white. I of course had to use my CAC cart (still my fav cart) for the cow and milk and the saying is from Just Because Cards. Soooo cute!
    Anway here is the recipe:
    • Create-A-Critter cart (cow 2 3/4", milk 1 3/4")

    Throwback Thursday Challenge- "Birthday" theme

Well this week for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge we were supposed to use the Celebrations cart, or any older cart we have to make a Birthday themed project. So I used the Stretch Your Imagination cart. This challenge worked out perfectly since I needed a birthday card for my friend anyway! I wish the picture turned out better, the card is so much more sparkly in person!

    Recipe:
    • Stretch Your Imagination cart (present card 5 1/4", present card frame 5 1/4", present outline 2 3/4")
    • glitter cardstock

My Submission for the CC Creative Escape Contest

So here is the card I made for the contest. I almost didn't make one because I was cutting it so close to the deadline but I'm really glad I did. Plus it was for a really great cause (all the cards are being donated to the The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The rules were we had to use ONLY ProvoCraft and Bazzill products.
So here is my recipe for this card:
    • Bazzill Basics Paper (Earthtones, Fun, and Dotted Swiss)
    • Create-A-Critter cartidge (sun 2 1/2", rainbow 3", cloud 2")
    • Beyond Birthdays cartridge ("create joy" w/ shadow 1 1/2")
    • dimensional adhesive

The card had to be 4 1/4" x 5" so the base of the card is 5" x 8 1/2" and scored at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8" to make a gatefold card. Then I added the elements to each side, making sure to ONLY glue them to ONE side of card so it will still open! lol And then I used the dimensional adhesive for the cloud so the end of the rainbow can be tucked behind it to keep the card closed. I am so in love with the CAC cart! EVERYTHING on it is so cute! I couldn't have found a better phrase for this card because it sure brought me joy creating it and I hope it will spread a little joy to others too! Oh yeah and winning the contest wouldn't be to bad either! LOL

    Throwback Thursday Challenge- "Animal" theme

Well it's time for another Throwback Thursday Challenge from Emma @  My Creative Time.
The theme this Thursday was "Animals". The Throwback cartridge was "Zooballoo" but since I don't have that one I used Paper Pups. I'm really loving these long cards. They fit into a regular old business size envelope :o)
I think this little guy is sooooo cute! I've been wanting to use him in a card ever since I bought it!

    Recipe:
    • Paper Pups cart (dog and phrase cut @ 3")
    • DCWV patterned paper
    • Tinkering Ink (red paper)
    • Brown cardstock (cut 8" x 8 1/2")
    • Fiskars border punch

    Cricut Cardz Challenge # 32

This week's challenge at Cricut Cardz Challenge was to make a Christmas card. So since Winter Wonderland is my absolute favorite Winter/Christmas cart, I had to use this cute little guy! I used the tag, s-tag of reindeer 2 for the base and then added the layered reindeer on top. But he just really needed some pizazz! So I added a green ribbon and a tiny bell (which does actually jingle, if you were wondering) and voila!!

    Independence Day Thank You Card

We went to an awesome BBQ on Saturday at the home of a firefighter that works with my husband. So I wanted to sent her a little Thank You note so this is what I made.
Honestly, I actually bought the "Independence Day" cartridge because of the fire truck, so I was very happy to finally have a project to use it for :)
The card is 4" x 8 1/2 " and fits in a standard business sized envelope. I think I cut the fire truck at 3 1/2". And just added a little bit of detail to the inside by adding 1" strips to each side. I hope she like it!

    Happy 4th of July!!!!!

Well I just got back from a BBQ with my church and I wanted to share some of the things I made for it (with the help of my BFF Ashley, of course!) The cupcake toppers were SUPER simple.
We just stamped out the saying ("God Bless America" from SU set "Star-Spangled Day") punched it out with a 1 1/8" square punch. Layered that on a scalloped square and then sandwiched a tooth pick in between 2 of the scalloped squares. Super duper easy and I LOVE the way they turned out!
And then we decorated the wrapped silverware with a cut from the "Independence Day" cart that I modified. Instead of using the piece that is supposed to go around the outside of the circle (it was way to intricate to cut as small as I needed it to be) I just cut two of the base shapes, the red at 1 3/4" and the white at 1 1/2 " and layered them. And then we attached it to a band of white cardstock (1"x 4 1/4") which we stamped with the star border stamp from the same SU set, and wrapped it around the silverware.

    Cricut Circle Welcome Kit!!!!!!

YAY!!! My cricut circle welcome kit arrived yesterday and I am SOOOO excited about it!! I will definately have some French Manor projects forthcoming!! I can't wait till they start announcing some of the activities (swarms, forums, webinars, etc.) I need to think of something really creative to display my certificate...

    Throwback Thursday Challenge

Well the challenge this week on My Creative Time is to use the "New Arrival" cartridge. But I don't own that cart so I used "Doodlecharms" and "Beyond Birthdays" instead (I'm pretty sure they both qualify as "old" carts, lol) Anyway I used my Cricut Design Studio to make the Bottle shaped card (Doodlecharms), layered the bottle, and then added the sentiment from "Beyond Birthdays". I LOVE the way it all turned out! The picture really doesn't do it justice! The patterned cardstock has glitter accents that didn't really show up in the pic :( and the "it's a girl" is put on with the foam squares to give it some dimension.

    Recipe:
    • Baby bottle cut @ 6" (Doodlecharms cartridge)
    • "Its a girl" cut @ 3" (Beyond Birthdays cartridge)
    • DCWV "the Sweet stack" patterned cartstock
    • Martha Stewart carstock
    • Dimensional adhesives
    • Mono adhesive

    • Just Because Cards cartridge
    • DCWV and other assorted cardstock and patterned paper

    Baby Shower Invitations

Here are some of the invitations I am helping my friend Ashley make for her friends baby shower. Her theme is monkeys so of course I couldn't wait to use my new Create-A-Critter cartridge (actually I bought specifically for this project, shhh don't tell my DH, lol). This cart has soooo many cute little animals on it! It is soooo my fav right now! And we made so he can slide on the ribbon by mounting him on one of the foundation tags from Mini Monograms. And then we also made thank you cards to go with the theme. So I thought the banana would be perfect with the "thanks a bunch" stamp! So happy with how they all turned out. Hope Ashley's friend likes them. We did 70 invitations and 50 Thanks You cards! Both the banana and the bubble are from the Create-A-Critter cart. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this cartridge!!

    Graduation Card

Here is a card I made for my friend Crystal. I used my Cricut with the Storybook cartridge for the frame and the Teardrop cartridge for the phrase. I'm really happy with how it turned out. And I made the little gift card holder inside by wrapping the gift card in black cardstock and a circle punch to make the notch so you can pull it out easier :)
And then decorated it with different strips of paper that coordinated with the front of the card!
